Welcome 2012!! I realize I have slacked in the whole blogging thing for the past couple months, but "be better at blogging" is part of my New Years Resolutions. 2011 was a whirlwind of a year, along with many peaks came downfalls. We are excited to start fresh with 2012 and have high hopes for what this year will bring.
We spent Christmas in North Carolina with Brett's family and had a great time! We were lazy at times, enjoyed the Carolina trails, watched movies, played games and ate WAY TOO MUCH food! All in all, it was a relaxing week...just what we needed!
New Years Eve was low key for the Sayres. We ordered pizza and cheesy bread, munched on Cheetos and drank Arnold Palmers. Having fallen asleep at 11:30, Brett woke me up in time for a New Years kiss and then we were off to bed. It was a wonderful night spent with my husband....we are thankful for the start of 2012 and also thankful for the many lessons we learned during 2011.
So far on in 2012, we have cleaned, organized, put away our Christmas decor and played Football outside with Stoops. We have dinner plans later and then the work year for 2012 begins tomorrow morning. All in all, a great first day of the year!!
Hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and we wish you all the best in 2012!!
